Meet Joy

The stories of overcomers like Joy are exactly why we started Freedom Park. It's what motivates us to pray, give and serve no matter the cost to help her find freedom and healing.

Joy arrived at Freedom Park while it was still just a vision. She had traveled 25 hours by bus from another state and was carrying a bag full of clothes and had almost no sleep during the days leading up to her arrival. We knew God wanted us to care for and minister to her but where could we house her. We purchased a 5th wheel the day before she arrived and had it delivered and set up by the time she arrived.

Joy came straight from a life that you would never want to imagine. No TV show, or movie could do justice telling the story of her abuse, trauma, and horrors of her life. It started in infancy with a father who told her that she was created solely to bring pleasure to men. Her life’s story included satanic rituals, human trafficking, gangs, violence, prison and believe it or not, Jesus.

Joy loved God but felt that her life was best represented by Gomer, Hosea’s prostitute wife in the Bible. She felt God’s love while here and it greatly impacted her life. She has become the single person whose freedom motivates us to pray, give and serve no matter the cost to help her find freedom and healing. We love Joy and all the other’s like her who are looking to get out of hell on earth.
